About us

What is Enactus Polimi?

Enactus is an international network present in over 30 countries. At the Italian level, Enactus Italy supports university teams through training, advisors, mentors, and a network of companies and professionals.

At Enactus Polimi, we focus primarily on the design and development of early-stage projects, with the goal of acting as a launchpad for turning ideas into real startups, although reaching this stage is by no means mandatory.

Throughout the year, we will go through the different stages of developing a project: from brainstorming to idea validation, including market and competitor analysis, as well as the development of a business model and business plan.

Our projects aim to build something useful, concrete, and capable of creating real value for society. This is why putting ideas into practice is such an important part of what we do.

Projects can therefore evolve beyond the idea stage: we can build prototypes, supported by the association’s funding, and develop real, functioning networks, as demonstrated by our project Shea Matters.

Basically we are PoliMi's Start Up Builders.

What do we do?

At the heart of what we do are our entrepreneurial projects. Throughout the year, we come up with and develop ideas that can create real social or environmental impact. In particular, every project must contribute to at least one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while following a path similar to that of a real startup.

The year roughly unfolds as follows:

Brainstorming → Validation → Training (from December onwards) → Market Analysis → Business Model & Business Plan → Validation → Pitch → National Competition

But there’s more.

We also organize events, workshops, meetings with startups and professionals, and create new networking opportunities within Milan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

And, of course, the occasional aperitivo together never hurts.

National Competition

Our activities culminate in the Enactus National Competition, a challenge bringing together the best projects selected from Enactus teams across Italy.

On this occasion, we will have the opportunity to pitch our projects in front of a jury of professionals and investors, who will select the National Competition winner.

But to truly understand how much networking, feedback, and fun this experience can offer, there’s only one way to find out:

you have to experience it yourself.

What can you find at Enactus?

Above all, Enactus is a place to meet people and build something together.

You can work on a project, help turn an idea into something real, or simply discover whether entrepreneurship is for you. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to learn how ideas are developed, tested and turned into valuable projects, all of this while gaining hands on experience in entrepreneurship, teamwork, problem solving and pitching.

The key word, however, is flexibility: there is NO single way to get involved, and you don’t need any previous experience in the startup world. Nor do you have to commit to a fixed or demanding schedule. Everyone contributes with the time they have available.

Whether you already have a business idea, want to get involved in a real entrepreneurial project, or simply want to understand what it takes to turn an idea into reality, Enactus gives you the opportunity to learn by doing.

Bring your curiosity, your ideas and your ambition and let’s build something together.

Skills You’ll Develop

At Enactus, you don’t just learn about entrepreneurship, you learn by building real projects.

Throughout the year, you’ll work hands-on on ideas with the potential to create real social or environmental impact, taking them from the first brainstorming sessions to validation, market analysis, business modelling and pitching.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to:

-Turn ideas into structured, actionable projects

-Analyze markets, identify opportunities and build business models

-Test assumptions and validate ideas with real world feedback

-Solve problems and make decisions in an entrepreneurial environment

-Work effectively in a team and manage your time around a shared goal

-Present and pitch your work clearly and confidently

-Build relationships with entrepreneurs, professionals and other students

-Develop an entrepreneurial mindset through hands-on experience

Many of our activities are also carried out in English, thanks to the international nature of the Enactus network and the fact that English is Enactus’ official language.

Don’t just learn how to build, do it.

What Are We Looking For?

You don’t need to come with an idea in mind or a specific background.

What we’re really looking for is curiosity, drive, a willingness to learn, and the courage to get involved.

In return, you’ll gain something genuinely tangible: practical skills, a network of students, professionals and entrepreneurs, and an entrepreneurial experience you can take with you both beyond Enactus, onto your CV and in your everyday life.

Bring your ideas. Get involved. Start building.
